Designing Autumn Succulent Planters in 3d!
Tuesday, October 20, 2026
1405-1500 (2.05-3.00)
Zoom (https://berkeley.zoom.us/j/6100599945)
Instructor: Bee Lehman, Ph.D.
Tool: Tinkercad (https://www.tinkercad.com/)
As we enjoy the fall, let's think about taking a breath and designing (any maybe printing) small planters for succulents. In this session, students will learn about CAD programs (computer assisted design) and then create and decorate their own, small planters our of digital cubes and cylinders before applying designs to the surface.
At the end of the session, the class will discuss how to go about printing their planters at one of the three 3d printing spaces available to them across campus.
There is no background skill necessary. Participants should be aware, however, that this session will be much easier to engage with an external mouse (as opposed to a track pad).
