Storytelling with Tableau (an introduction)

Using 1920 Bay Area census data, this session will provide an introduction to using the visual analytics platform Tableau. The session will explore the steps for generating a series of useful charts and graphs before asking students to begin designing a basic story using the Tableau's dashboard.

Students are encouraged to Tableau Public (free!) in advance of the session.

The instructor--Bee--will stick around for 20 minutes at the end of the session to answer questions. At that time, participants are encouraged to ask questions about their own research projects.
