Digital Storytelling with Print Material

Up until the 21st century, most authors worked in print books, chapbooks, and other print formats. Working with those textual and visual sources in an online environment with digital tools requires conversion from print to digital formats.

This workshop explores the recommended steps for transforming print into digital material. Using George Elliot's accounts of travel as recounted in George Eliot's Life: As Related in her Letters and Journals, the group will explore digitization, data cleaning, and structuring that historical, literary data in order to use in digital project.

The instructor--Bee--will stick around in the Zoom room for a pinch after the hour. At that point, participants are encouraged to ask questions about their own research and/or projects.
